We can produce test mouldings from existing moulds, or construct new plugs and moulds for new products. GRP LAMINATES ARE WELL RESPECTED SUBCONTRACTORS to other manufacturers and service companies in the marine, leisure, construction industries. Our teams can be made available on your premises or site, for in-situ moulding, repair and refit (see below), insurance work and installation of bespoke composite components.

GRP LAMINATES CAN ACCOMMODATE all metal and steel ‘kitting’ of mouldings where required, to support our customers’ production processes. Services include paint spraying and the application of other finishes. Repair and maintenance work can also be undertaken (see below).

Island Marine International is a Dover-based ship services company, specialising in interior refits and upgrades for cruise ship and ferry operators. As the main contractor on a project to refit two vessels for commuter services on the river Thames, Island Marine International called on GRP Laminates to repair hull damage.

It took our specialist two-man team a week working in situ in London, to complete the repairs using an epoxy resin system. GRP Laminates liaised closely with the MCA inspector and provided a full, ongoing written report for the work at every stage to ensure compliance.
