Both founders had considerable experience. Bob Bennett is a time served boat builder and joiner, well known and respected in his field.

GRP Laminates is based on the Isle of Wight, where the right combination of manufacturing space, skills and expertise remain available, along with fast links to the rest of the UK. We have over 20,000 square feet of fabrication facility, accommodating large one-off projects as easily as small scale, high volume production.

Since 2005, GRP Laminates has been owned by Tiger Marine, part of Seighford Trading Limited. This investment has enabled the company to access innovative technologies and expand into the defence, automotive, construction and leisure markets.

We have won several awards from our customers, including the Silver award for ‘Sunseeker Supplier of the Year’ (2003) for excellence in Quality, Delivery, Cost Management, and Customer Service. In 2011 we won the exclusive world licence to manufacture South Cats, the highly sought after and respected workboats, designed by Clive Jeffery, owner of South Boats.
